New work has just uncovered an interesting fact about nouns. We say these words at a much slower pace compared to verbs. Researchers argued that we give a little more time to nouns because they often describe new information which may require more cognitive resources. However, given past work has shown children learn nouns more easily than verbs, I am curious to see if this time difference would hold up for children
